Gratitude Tree

I was honoured to be asked to create a ButtonPic on behalf of St Patrick’s BNS for their Chaplain Fr Joe Connolly pp.

Fr Joe is leaving the parish this month & the school wanted to present him with a gift that would express their gratitude & love for all he has done for them over the years.

Each class of boys were asked to think of words/phrases to describe him. They suggested “kind“ “generous” “inspiring“ as well as “well dressed” and ”someone who has us in stitches laughing“!’ and many more. I incorporated these into the trunk & branches of the tree which represents Fr Joe. The buttons represent the children, teachers and staff of the school and the flowers in the shelter of the tree represent the parents.

After saying a special mass in the school yesterday, Mr Horan presented him with the picture.
